Description
- A residence for a youthful family located within the tropical rainforest, seeking solace in panoramic ocean views encompassing Dunk Island. Steep sloping site suggested a single storey on higher slopes. Each room experiencing close proximity to rainforest as well as ocean views to horizon, external circulation promoting sea breeze to all internal spaces. Pool oriented towards centre of rooms, screened from stronger prevailing sea breezes. Passive design principles enhancing a truly sustainable solution for the tropical environment. A visual delight moving through the dwelling taking in evolving perspectives of their home, pool landscaping, rainforest and ocean.
