Respecting the owner's desire to capitalise on commercial space within the site of this existing resort, edgearchitecture reviewed existing buildings and spaces towards enhancing the resort hotel's facilities. The appearance and relationship with existing hotel buildings required correlation and close scrutiny of the streetscape and character of Palm Cove. Each mutually respectful of the beachfront location.
The design process pursued additional beachfront guest rooms, day spa, reception and guest lounge, hotel operator administration as well as restaurant and function facilities.
